Couples searching for a wedding venue near Kendall do not have to limit the search to hotel ballrooms and banquet halls. Just south of Kendall, Miami’s Redland offers a quieter landscape of tropical gardens, palms, and open sky.

Longan’s Place is at 15255 SW 200th Street in the Redland area of Miami-Dade County. The property brings the ceremony, portraits, and reception together in one place, while keeping Kendall, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay, and Homestead within the same South Miami-Dade region.

The right venue can feel like a destination without asking your guests to leave South Miami-Dade.

01

A true garden setting close to Kendall

Redland is known for its agricultural landscape and tropical greenery. At Longan’s Place, couples enter a private garden property rather than a ballroom dressed to resemble the outdoors.

The pond-side ceremony area includes a stone aisle, flower-lined seating, mature palms, a bridge, and a waterfall feature. These are permanent parts of the setting, giving guests a natural experience and photographers several backgrounds without leaving the property.

Options for intimate and full weddings

The same property can host several kinds of celebrations. Ceremony Only is available for 2 to 50 guests. Petite Weddings are designed for up to 20 guests, and Micro Weddings for 10 to 40 guests, on available Monday-through-Thursday dates. Full weddings can host up to 180 guests.

Each option has its own schedule, pricing, and inclusions. The best comparison begins with the actual date and guest count, followed by a written proposal that shows exactly what is included.

10–40

Guests for the four-hour Micro Wedding package.

Up to 180

Capacity for full wedding celebrations.

03

Clear pricing before you choose

Full wedding pricing combines the venue rental for the selected day with one of four per-person package levels. Current venue rental ranges from $5,500 Monday through Thursday to $7,500 on Saturday, before the package, 18% service charge, and 7% Florida sales tax.

The package levels are $55, $65, $75, and $85 per guest. Inclusions increase by tier, so not every package is all-inclusive. Alcohol, photography and video, an officiant, personal flowers, and ceremony-area decorations remain outside every Longan’s package.

One property makes the day easier to follow

Keeping the ceremony, portraits, and reception together means guests do not have to drive between locations. The wedding party can move from the pond-side ceremony to garden portraits and then to the covered reception area while the celebration continues nearby.

The gardens also offer more than one portrait setting. The separate tiered fountain creates an evening backdrop, while open lawns and palms catch warm late-afternoon light.

Plan the visit around your real date and guest count

Start with the public calendar for a first look at availability, then request a proposal for the date and guest count you are considering. A proposal does not reserve the date, so availability should be confirmed again before booking.

A private tour is the best time to walk the ceremony-to-reception route, see the covered and indoor backup options, discuss parking for the intended guest count, and compare the written package inclusions.
